Do you support for the 2nd week of gun as antlerless?
Chad asked a group of hunters at the Sugar Ridge meeting if the gun seasons was left alone as to the start date and length would they support a plan for the second week of that gun season to be antlerless only.
Your thoughts?

So the first two weekends would remain either sex and then the second Monday of season would start the antlerless and it would run thru the end of season?

The more I read and what I learned at the meetings the more I think this whole plan stinks of special interest groups trophy buck management plan.
I would not support the second week being antlerless for this reason. Leave the seasons the same and add hunting time, not subtract it. h.h.

Antlerless ONLY seasons want get the job done.....most hunters won't even be in the woods for them. Either sex days will kill just as many.

No that is a win for the stake holders and compromise as I have stated prior there should be no compromise by the hunters of This state over these so called proposals ever it shows Apathy and weakness on our part . We deserve the right to hunt Bucks the entire gun season as well as doe deer!

Bow hunters would have the woods to themselves that second week and would be hunting bucks.
ATTENTION DNR - You need that buck carrot on the stick to get deer hunters in the woods where they can kill more deer - bucks and does.
Make a couple state parks does only hunting and see how many deer hunters you get to show up.
Scratch our backs (instead of the stakeholders)and we will scratch yours.

NO, would not even give it a thought....
Why not make every license purchased good for a buck or a doe. Many a buck only tag gets unfilled every year and the hunter has to purchase another tag to kill a doe. DNR needs to look at the license structure to attain their goals.
