here is a few pics of my 23 lb 9 1/2 beard right28 mm left 28 mm spurs my biggest to date, and my wife decided to go out with me this morning!!!!! shocked me too heres the story, get out around 6 am owl hoot, nothing.....keep going hoot again nothing, this goes on for hour no gobbles total silence. well we've seen these birds in this field nearly everyday around 8:30 so by 7:30 we're set up. couple decoys out, 3 live hens feeding in the field too. still had not heard the first tom. I though my wifes first time out is'nt much fun or excitment. at 8:10 hear a gooble, fire up the box call he fires back again, he's on the way. 10 minutes later I call again he's still coming fast. about 5 minutes later I see 3 white heads (instead of the one I thought was coming) through the brush, all 3 start to strut toward the decoys, could have shot all 3 they were in such a tight group. The tom I shot takes the lead, bad choice..... he gets about 5 feet in front of the others, 20 feet from the decoys, 30 yards away. I shoot and now have my biggest bird to date. I offered to get her a license so he could be the one to shoot but she didn't want to do that, just glad she went. Sunday I'm taking my 11 year old son, hopfully use the same setup and get his first Tom. Thanks for reading

That is awesome! I think my wife is very close to being ready to go with me sometime. Maybe if it is an exciting hunt she will want to take it up. She says she thinks she could shoot a turkey because they are not cute like deer.

Nice one!! I love to hunt with my wife. She took her first bird on her first day of hunting "ever" three years ago. Now, I can't keep her out of the woods!! She also killed a bigger deer than me this past season. I'm thinking about a divorce if she keeps this up. :-)
