The following quote was taken from the Hunting Guide about baiting.
My question is where I hunt has a corn/bean field in the middle of the property...can I hunt over this field? It's about a 40 acre field that is farmed.
What is "baiting"?
Answer: Baiting includes any of the following: 1) a solid or liquid that is transported and intended for consumption, 2) salt, and 3) mineral blocks. An area is considered baited for ten (10) days after the removal of the bait or the baited soil. Hunting an orchard, or another area which may be attractive to deer as a result of normal agricultural activity, is not prohibited. Farmer's salt for livestock is not bait.
