Okay looking for something that will kill grasses and most importantly the Multiplora rose. Brothers and I opened up our woods last year by cutting down some trees that were of no use to us. And we planted everything from a few small apple trees to some different kinds of oak trees. We have had a large patch of this mulitflora rose move in and a lot of grasses start growing up as well. We are wanting to spray it and kill it off so it doesn't take away from the tree's we planted. So I'll looking to buy something and spray the area in the next two weeks or so. I would also like to use this at home to spray the fence line and cracks in the pavement to kill the grasses at home as well. I want something safe that's not going to kill the trees as well. I'm not real smart on these types of things so wanted some good info and figured this the best place to get it... Any info would be appreciated. The one thing I have heard of so far is Cornerstone Plus by Agrisolutions. Thanks BB

Mix Round-Up and 2, 4-D together and that will take care it. Round-up will kill the grasses and 2,4-D will kill the briar's. If you have small trees then spot spray around them. Larger trees wont be affected unless you spray the foliage. Don't spray 2,4-D too close to other plants that you don't want killed because vapors from the spray will affect real close plants. h.h.

So I need to get a round up consentrate? Have you heard of this Cornerstone Plus? A friend of mine said the guy behind the counter told him this was the stuff to use. I've looked it up on the web but I don't understand it. BB

Yes, concentrate. Use round up or generic round up. I use the generic stuff called Imitator Plus from Rural King. 2 1/2 gal for 35.00 or 19.99 for a gallon, works the same as round up. Not used cornerstone plus but its generic round up. All generic round up is 41% glyphosate. If you mix about 4 ounces to a gallon of water it will kill just about any weeds and briar's. h.h.

Just a tip. If you have any farmer friend's that buy roundup in bulk. You can get alot better concentrate for alot less money. $10.00 a gallon is whay i pay. Alot stronger than what most retail store's sell.
