I was sitting in some pine trees waiting for the sun to come up and I hear twigs breaking around 6:15 am so I look. I have a small raccoon about five yards away. He stands up and gives me this look like what's up with the bright light I am not doing anything. I ran him off and sat back down. I wait about 15 minutes and start with a tree call than another 15 minutes and I hear a gobble so I soft yelp back no response. A few minutes later another gobble so I wait then yelp again double gobble. I know the path he is on and I can see him about 60 yards away. I hear the raccoon coming up behind me again so toss a few more pinecones at him thinking I will make a hat out of you come raccoon season if I get busted because of him. The raccoon move on and I get setup for the shot if the turkey will come 10 yards more. He was spitting and drumming I had 3 decoys out hens at 10 and 15 yards and a tom at 20 yards guess where the live turkey went? He went behind the tom decoy paused and when he stepped out the easton lightspeed with a NAP spitfire broadhead was on its way. I see the arrow hit the the vanes went up in the air and landed 10 feet away the turkey took a couple steps and dropped before I could even start to go to it. The other half of the arrow and the broadhead was laying next to the turkey My first turkey with a bow. The arrow went in the wing on the right side hit the opposite leg and I think that is why the arrow broke. Newberry B1 62# Easton lightspeed 400's SpitFire 100 grn Dave

Good Job. Getting a turkey with a bow is a great accomplishment. One day I will give it a try.

Good Job! My first was with a bow. Me and Chadd tried all weekend but I think that big ol Tom has gotten wise to the blind.
