Not too sure I would read too much into this fellers.
The deer thing is basically in the hands of the NRC and the DNR now, not the NRC AC.
I know that one member of the NRC AC is a member of the NRC too.
It will probably be early September IF we see any amended changes to the deer proposals.

I'm with tenring on this one.
A check of a few NRC AC meetings a year ago revealed it was not unusual to have over 35 folks in the audience. That's a lot of people for any kind of meeting in Indiana that doesn't involve hiring or firing the high school basketball coach.
Now that the proposed change in deer hunting rules is getting scrutinized and hunters are finding out the so-called stakeholders got on the inside track with the IDNR, the NRC AC probably anticipates that A LOT of people will show up at their meeting thinking there might be discussion of the proposed rules.
The next NRC AC meeting is in October. That gives plenty of time for the IDNR and NRC to deflect any unwanted attention from the business of the AC.
Never forget that politicians are like everyone else; they intensely dislike the boss looking over their shoulders while they work.
