I read up on this a few years ago , yes , birds do see UV reflection .
A show I watched showed a hawk's eye view of the UV trails rodents leave behind because of their urine , that was how the hawk decided which fields to hunt . The trails were clearly visible , even from several hundred feet up , the hawk narrowed it's search to the fields with the most trails to conserve energy .

Come on guys what did Daniel Boone and Davy Crocket wash theier clothes in ?!?! LOL
I'm not buyin the whole UV spooking animals thing. Humans have been killing deer and turkeys for a long time before sportwash came out.
Save your money during deer season and hunt the wind... save it during Turk season and get blended in real good and don't move when their close.

I would say Daniel Boone and Davy Crocket didnt use uv brighteners in there wash.
A turkeys best sense is its eyesight. If I can get an advantage on it , Im gonna take it.
