Here are a couple of my favorites:
My bow/crossbow shoots perfectly flat out to forty yards.
I never miss. ( believe it or not, I have heard people say this)
Deer don't care about the wind. ( heard this un too.)
Add your own!

I had a fella tell me that he only hunts with a stickbow he made as a kid - only shoots deer when he confident they are out past 50 yards - and really likes to wait until 2 are standing side by side so he can put 2 down with one shot! He swore this was how he harvested his deer. Go figure - it takes all kinds.

Whitetails are not nearly as challenging as mulies and that's why I don't bother hunting them.

( heard this un too.) Add your own! "I never miss".....gotta be one of my favorites. I have a relative (who is a darn good hunter with a bunch of trophy class whitetails on his game room wall) tell me this for years. Well, we were hunting together about 6 years ago, sitting in the same blind. During our hunt that afternoon, we had actually talked about "misses" that I had encountered over the years. He flat out told me..."I don't miss"! I replied "Bull Chips, everybody misses" He said (straight faced again)..."I don't". Well, internally I'm laughing and thinking..."who are you trying to impress? I'm not too proud to admit that I've missed before and I'll probably miss again." Anyway, as luck would have it, about 30 minutes before the end of shooting light out walks a BEAUTIFUL 10 pointer that was easily 140-150 inches. My hunting partner/relative slowly raises his muzzloader, takes aim........and MISSES. Not only misses, but misses so bad that the buck just stood there for a few moments before bolting away. That was one of those moments where a major life lesson that my parents taught me was re-inforced. However, after about 30 seconds of absolute silence in the blind, I couldn't help but ask..."how's that humble pie tastin'?" ;D

You have to be at LEAST 20 feet above ground to kill deer.

After being shot at, if the deer runs away with it's tail up, it was not fatally hit.
It is unsportsmanlike to sneak up on a deer and shoot it in its bed.
Big bucks go "nocturnal" after opening weekend (firearms).

Many years ago I had a co-worker with Indian ancestry (or so he said) who was always boasting of his proficiency with bow and arrow. It came to pass that several of us obtained permission to set up some bales out on the "back 40" to use for target practice. The "chief" showed up one day, and hardly knew the bow from the arrow! This fellow was a world-class liar, but very entertaining!

The Best BS is just going to the local wal mart the night before opening day of shotgun. There is enough BS going on in there to last the whole year.

Had a kid tell me that they had never missed and would never miss... I told them they would at some point miss. Well as luck would have it they got to go hunt some bigger animals. Well this kid had a perfect open shot at the animal at about 80 yards. And missed.... I kind of felt bad after I heard that they missed because it's not every day you get to go hunt these animals but like I told them... You will miss as some point in time... Never fails.... Why is it that you always miss at the biggest one you have ever had a chance to shoot at? BB
