With squirrel season starting a little under a month away, I am getting stoked! I won't be able to get too do much deer hunting this year, so it looks like it's going to be squirrel and rabbit.
So what are some of your guys favorite recipes for squirrel and rabbit?
I thought about taking a good portion and making it into squirrel/rabbit jerky. Has anyone done this before? Is it any good?

Fry them young greys! Put the reds in a croc-pot, pull the meat off the bone, add your favorite BBQ sauce, and you'll have some of the best BBQ you've ever had.

I make a pretty mean small game pot pie. Here you go. There are 35 squirrel recipes and 224 rabbit recipes on this site. I'm sure you can use any of these recipes for either one. www.justgamerecipes.com/inxsqi.html

Throw a couple of tree rats in a pot with a dab of water to get the process started. Keep the heat on low until the moisture in the meat starts coming out, turning a couple of times to even out the heat. Now add a teaspoon of mustard, and a teaspoon of mayonnaise and mix that around real good. Put lid on and fugidibout it for an hour or so, just like the Crock Pot method. Forget where I learned that, and thought it silly at first until I tried it. Salt and pepper to taste at the end for individual liking. Yum, yum!

I flour & brown my Squirrels or Rabbit in Canola oil & let them simmer until tender. I always use an electric skillet & cook them on average two hours or longer depending on the age of the animals.
