Alright all...I'm a relatively new hunter here (3 seasons running) and have been blessed with the opportunity to hunt land in the three aforementioned counties. I'd like your thoughts on where I should focus my attention. (I suspect answer from many will be Ripley County). I have easier access to Miami and Hamilton though...
I've shot deer after deer in Miami and its a guaranteed doe and almost buck three years running. I don't know much about Ripley County since this is the first year I've been given permission down there. I'd sure appreciate your thoughts though.

I would let the properties and deer activity be my guide. Have you scouted out the new places yet?

counties don't mean a whole lot to me....every county has good hunting, just not the whole county...you have to find the pockets of deer. I have permission in hamilton county on property that I have seen 4 different 170+ deer....but a lot of that county doesnt hold tons of big deer....I have seen a lot of big deer in miami county too, as I have to drive through there to get to fulton/marshall where I hunt most. I agree with huntmeister...whichever property is best, hunt that one

Agreed, depends on who else is going to be on the same piece of land or surrounding properties, how much free time (travel time) I had, and personal preference. Your miami Co. place sounds pretty good.

Keep a good relationship with all the property owners and hunt them all. From year to year the "best" place will change.

Honestly by shear numbers Ripley county have about the same number of deeer and deer harvested as the other counties that you have listed combind and then some. Ultimatley deer hunting is all about the numbers Miami will give you average deer but the southyern counties produce more big bucks because there are more deer its all in the math.

From ripley. Depends on area of county. Like everwhere else there are certain area's that are better than other's. I now hunt primarily in neighboring Switerland County and have a had better success rate, but have control of 150 acre farm and have some good neighbor's that manage their properties also, Which makes for good hunting. In Ripley Friendship area has always produced good sized bucks
