I patterned my TK-2000 this week and I'll have to say I'll be happily toting it to the turkey woods this spring. I was able to consistently put 26 pellets in the kill at 45 yd! Now when I say kill I don't count anything but pellets in the brain and spine. I finally settled on a 2 1/2 oz load of #6 Hevi-Shot with 10 gr of buffer and a 3 1/2" TPS wad over 110 gr of APP FFg. I couldn't get my gun to shoot any lead load worth a hoot but with the stock turkey choke of .710 I wasn't surprised. Does anyone else hunt with a smoke pole?

TK2000 , is that a Knight ?
I've considered a smokepole for turkey hunting but I can't seem to come up with the money they want for them . I don't doubt that it would be fun though .

Yeah, it's a Knight and you can pick up new ones for under $500 and I've seen used ones for around $250.

Yeah, I've got one. Killed a bird with it 2 years ago. It patterned well but it kicks like a mule..moreso than shooting a shotgun with 3 1/2" mag loads which I have always hunted with. I'd sell the gun and accesories DIRT CHEAP!

They do kick a little but it's nothing compared to those 3.5 in Federal flight control wad.

i have the knight tk2000 that i won at a sports banquet couple years ago. i use their #4, and 5 shot with 100 grs of triple seven pellets 3 1/2 shot cup and over size shot wad.it does have the recoil but not that bad. i loaded it to max 120 gr. and it does have a good kick. i am going to use it this spring.

I would have to sell it as a package, accessories and all. I don't have any use for the extras..over shot cups, wads, primers, primer holders, #6 shot, powder 777, powder measure, cleaning solutions, grease/lube, etc. I'd have to see what I have in the accessories to come up witha price. I only hunted the gun twice in SD and once here, 3 hunts total in one season.

I got to help site in a TK last weekend. Pretty fun and I think I will take it to Missouri with me to try for one of my birds over there with it.
We shot #5 shot behind 70 grains of American poineer powder. Not my choice of stuff or my gun but it worked we were getting 40+ pellets at 25 yards.
