I have been at our property in Kentucky all last week for spring break. I am here to report that love is in the air in the turkey world down there in a big way. It seemed everywhere we looked we would spot strutting toms out in fields with 5 or 6 hens. I lost count of how many turkeys we saw as we drove around.
Is anyone seeing similar things around here in Indiana? I haven't had a chance to get down to Franklin County to scout yet, anyone seeing or hearing birds down in southeastern Indiana?

Haven't been in the woods in the morning yet, but as I was driving to work yesterday morning there were three toms strutting in the field by the woods I'll be hunting. There were seven other birds I could see, but didn't have time to get out the binocs and look for more beards.

I was in lower Michigan scouting some public ground yesterday and saw 6 different strutters doing their thing. What a great sight to see. Hopefully they will still be around in 3 weeks when I get to hunt.

Hey gobbleking....where about's in Goshen your from??? I live in Elkhart, but hunt in Bristol/Middlebury. It's amazing how my turkey sightings go up once I go north of the 80/90 tollroad! I used to get up near Edwardsburg, Niles, and further east with work, and would always see birds!!! Not quite the same a few miles south!

They've been struttin Dearborn county for the past three months. This picture was taken on January 19th.
