I was told last night that a gobbler with a very white head (you've seen them...they look like a lightbulb on a black volkswagon) is the easiest to kill as they are very committed to coming all the way in. What do ya think of that?

They most certainly are fired up when their heads get that white....... I've killed a couple like that, almost like their heads are glowing with neon they are so bright. Gotta love that sight when they are sliding through the green cover!

White heads means their very excited. I've killed several birds that came in with Snow White heads. I recall many of them were called in after a series of intense cutting on my slate call. They do seem to be very willing to commit when they're this excited.I have also watched their heads go from snowwhite to fire engine red at very close range thats really cool too..but, usually isn't a good sign, it normally means they have been alarmed, like a coyote that ruined my chance at a bird one year..Ridgerunner
