Went out scouting today and heard two maybe three toms a gobbling and then one of the coolest thing at a second spot happend. I was in camo hiking through one of my spots and to my left I heard a "human" crashing through the woods. I stopped and froze expecting to see someone, but it was a big tom. I am not sure how big his beard or spurs were due to the undergrowth, but he was big enough. He stopped and looked at me, but I stayed still, he worked back and forth and kept taking quick looks at me every couple of seconds. He did this for about 5-10 minutes. I just froze and watched his show, he never strutted or anything, but just walked around. He disappeared and I started moving around looking for him. I did wind up spooking his, which I was trying to avoid, but it was a very cool time and I enjoyed just confusing him a little. BTW no turkey calls were on me today .
