Went to the Wally World in Linton this p.m. and could not help but buy some turkey stuff. 4 DVD's, 2 slate calls, 3 extra strikers, etc. What a BLASTED affliction! 22 days and counting...... Anybody else fallen into the quagmire of needless purchases yet?

Are you into waterfowl hunting? If not then you best not try it if you think turkey hunting is expensive.

I totally agree 410!!! Turkey hunting has an initial investment....with the occassional purchase. Waterfowlers NEVER have enough stuff! Another dozen dekes here....some more goose shells there....perhaps if I had a 10 guage I'd be able to reach those geese that 911 just missed... It's a never ending spiral!!!

I sure would hate to figure out what the geese and ducks cost me per pound the last couple years.

I sure would hate to figure out what the geese and ducks cost me per pound the last couple years. I don't even want THAT thought to cross my wifes mind. That figure is off the chart!

I guess we should all give up turkey hunting and go buy a Butterball....Not!!!! I don't think too many of us go out to the woods at 4:30 am because we can't wait to taste some wild turkey. That is just the icing on the cake. To hear that first gobble at 70 yards... That's another story
