Took my 12 year old nephew down to Kentucky this morning and he put the hammer on a two year old. I won't tell the whole story (cause it's a long one ), but I'll tell you that it did involve him having an anxiety attack when we had 4 hens within 10 yards, we took off his hat, facemask and gloves and the hens never spooked. Four gobblers followed them up and he took this one at 39 yards. He really didn't look that far when I told him to shoot But you have to love tame public ground birds. This was taken from the road where we watched the gobblers take off to a cuttin' hen. The red arrow is where we were set up when he shot....

Alright! Good deal for your nephew! It's awfully nice of you to take him out. Not everyone would do that...even for family.

Thats cool! He'll remember you taking him down there and harvesting that bird forever! I'll bet he is gonna be your hunting buddy for life.
