It's probably something really simple and will slap me in the face when I find out. In the meantime, I notice the nomenclature on the CCI Mini Mags I'm shooting says they are "GLHP." I'm pretty sure the LHP is Lead Hollow Point - but does anyone know what the "G" stands for...
I may just call CCI to find out.

The CCI mini-mag is my favorite do everything .22 LR cartridge. All my rifles like it. The squirrels, groundhogs and rabbits hate it.

Through my search I also found some history on CCI which I find kind of fascinating. CCI stands for Cascade Cartridge, Inc. The company was basically founded by Richard Speer and started its life in a reconstructed chicken coop in Lewiston, Idaho around 1951.

Yep, he started out by making bullets; swaged spent rimfire (.22's) cases around lead bullets to make jacketed. The headstamp was still visible on the completed bullet. Most of that info can be found in a Speer reloading manual. And, yes, it is interesting.
