Is anyone planning on having a deer camp? And if you do, what makes it special? Friends or family you haven't seen in a while? Maybe time away from family? Location? Just wandering what everyone else is doing for deer camp. These next two weeks I will be making three of them.

At LEAST half the fun of deer hunting is the fellowshp with other hunters.
The sharing of information and tall tales is a lot of fun.
Cherish every moment of it.

I don't have a deer camp, because I normally hunt every weekend and maybe a couple of mornings during the week before work. I usually have family obligations during the evenings on the weekends so I need to come home.
But the fellowship with other hunters around us is great and then I get to spend some time on this site. Getting to read the stories here is almost like being in deer camp.

I always have deer camp. Usually a family member or two and a friend. I don't think I would have near as much fun without it.

Our Indiana group does an annual deer camp the first week of rifle season in Kentucky. The hunting is good & the fellowhip is awesome, as the first liar does'nt have a chance @ the card table.
