Every year a few guys and myself head to Green River WMA down in KY to do a little get together. These guys are from TX, MD, IN, KY, NC etc. all were met over the net on a hunting forum. I don't think you could ask for better hunting camp. I had two shot opps...an iffy BS shot on a doe at 16 yards from a ground blind, but she had the blind pegged and only her leg and shoulder exposed. I passed. I also had a six point at 8 yards one morning with a buddy videoing it from another tree, but that particular WMA has a 15" outside spread rule for bucks, so he wasn't legal. I saw lots of sign, but I don't think things will get ramped up there for a week or two yet. Good to be back in the Hoosier state and back to the old stomping grounds.

Sounds like you had fun... that's the important thing!
That's one of the things I miss since I moved back to Indiana in '94 from Virginia is the hunting camp experience. My VA buddy had a cabin out in the Blue Ridge, and I have many fond memories of evenings sitting around his fireplace with an iron pot of chili and a mug of JW Dant :-)
I've talked to a couple of my Indiana buds about building a little shack in the woods to get that experience again out here...
