This morning (5-3-2010) at 9:44 am with my own reloaded 3 inch 12 gauges at 44 yards. Rolled him over stone dead. My very first turkey after many years of trying. 13 pounds, 9 mm spurs (nubs), and 4 3/8 inch beard.

First thing my 4 year old daughter said when I showed her the picture of the jake on my cell was "I can't wait to try it!". She loves grilled deer steaks. Grilled one of the breasts the other night with Weber Smoky Mesquite seasoning, my daughter loved it. I do feel sorry for the ones who have to spend $24 on a tag for so comparatively little meat though. But it is fun!
