Make is simple I have a lifetime license. also got a hip last fall. Other than a temp tag off of dnr site do I need anything else. Like somekind of bird stamp or something? Read last years book but still was not totally clear. Actually I think they make things not completely clear so that they can issue tickets.

Lifetime Comprehensive Hunting License Are in lieu of 1)Annual Resident Hunting Licence 2) All present or future annual stamps or licenses required to hunt for a specific species. If you have one of these you are covered for all hunting license and stamps that the state sells for hunting. You must still purchase a Federal stamp for migratory birds.

Was positive about Federal duck stamps. Just not completely sure about what they wanted for turkey. Like I said I do not completely trust DNR's. Have had to much negative interaction with them and no I was not doing anything wrong.
Ever had one come bouncing across a picked bean field wanting to know where your parking permit is? Even after being told that he was on private property he wanted to see licenses. No one was carrying a weapon of any kind. No shotguns, bows, Muzzleloaders, not even any hand guns. Then he insisted on looking at our stands. After asking who the land owner was he called and told him that we were putting up perminent stands and destroying his trees. That came directly from the land owner. Oh by the way were were using ladder and a hanging stand with a stick ladder, not even screw in tree steps.

I'm not sure what's unclear but I'll quote the regulations book. ( To hunt wild turkeys, Indiana residents need a resident turkey hunting license and a valid game bird habitat stamp privilege, or a lifetime hunting license. ) Hip numbers are only required for Migratory birds which a turkey is not.
Hope this helps,
