NWTF Announces 2006 Board of Directors and Officers
03/02/2006
When the accomplishments of the National Wild Turkey Federation are penned into conservation history, the Federation realizes a major part of the success story should be devoted to its volunteers, corporate partners and government wildlife agencies. Without their allegiance, the return of the wild turkey might never have happened.
To continue guiding the Federation's pursuit to safeguard a tradition it considers sacred -- our hunting heritage and the wise stewardship of our natural resources - are the 2006 Board of Directors. Each board member works closely with the headquarters staff as the voice of the general membership, which now stands at more than 500,000.
The NWTF welcomes three new board members: Dave Mahlke, from Minnesota, Vince Rosdahl, from Danville, Calif. and Bill Marvin, from Florida.
Rosdahl joined the NWTF in 1998 and became a Diamond Life member in 2000. He is currently the Wheelin' Sportsmen chair and treasurer for the Mt. Diablo Chapter. Rosdahl has also held president and chairman positions for the chapter. Along with local chapter affiliation, he was the California state chapter president from 2002-2005.
Marvin joined the NWTF in 1992, and is currently a Gold Life member. He is the past district director and past president of the Apalachee Longbeards chapter in Florida. Marvin sat as Florida state chapter president from 2002-2005.
Formerly the Minnesota State Chapter President, Mahlke has been an active member of the NWTF since 1991. He has served his local chapter as banquet chair, treasurer and president. A state board member since 1997, Mahlke has served on the Super Fund committee since 1998 and was treasurer from 2000-2002.
