After dropping my wife off at Opry Mills I went to the NWTF convention. Pretty much the same things as last year. Nothing really new. The quality of the deer mounts in the competition was a lot better this year. It was worth the trip just to see the turkey mounts done by Cally Morris of Hazel Creek Taxidermy.

What did you think of the reddish white gobbler? Did you see the hooks on it? I was told the kid that shot it had blowed it over backwards several days earlier and finally killed it later on. Slim

Anyone know where to get pictures of the mounts that were at the show? I am not happy with some recent mounts I got back from last year......a REDDISH colored bird with RUSTY colored wing feathers in lieu of blk/white colored and a Merriam from NE.
Wanting to consider a different taxidermist for this year!
