Got a recipe from the guy who makes Popeye jigs a while back and tried it with crappies. Didn't care for it because I do not like the texture of crappies. The flavor was very good though. Had some gill filets and some fresh found morels so decided to try it again. Loved it. I changed things a little from the original but you can use whatever seasonings you want.
Using a glass dish melt some butter. Take your washed filets(And halved mushrooms)(Optional) dip them in the melted butter, sprinkle with seasoned salt and crushed dill(Or whatever you like). Spread in bottom of glass dish and microwave for 45 to 90 seconds. MMMMM Good. OK not as good as fried but healthier and a whole lot easier with very little mess. Next time I am going to drop a few stalks of asparagas in.
