My son and I took his Mossberg .500 Batam 20 ga. out to shoot a few last times before season opens this coming weekend. After a few shots we figured he was good to go , we decided he should shoot 1 more time and then a quick follow up shot to practice this should he need it in the field. I was sitting just behind he left should and he fired and ejected to spent round and loaded a new round and took aim for the 2nd shot and fired , everything went as planned and I looked over to be sure he was putting the gun on safety and controlling the muzzle in a safe manner. That is when I see the forearm stock busted completely in two pieces Thanks the lord he wasn't hurt. Now he is with out his gun for this up coming weekend until I can get it repaired anyone have any advice on how to get this repaired quickly?

Look up the part in Midway or Brownells catalog, and if they have it, fast pace in to you.

My 1st call is to Mossberg tomarrow , the web site said they have a 10 year warranty from defects if that fails I will follow your leads
my guess is I wont be able to find a stock because it's a Batam and the stock and forearm is smaller

What I see is that the plastic forearm broke, but I don't see anything mechanical. If that's the case, there would be no danger in making a quick repair with epoxy and using the gun. A turkey hunt is usually a one-shot deal.
If there is a broken part, or the gun doesn't lock up the way it is supposed to, I wouldn't use it until all parts are replaced.
I would imagine Mossberg will send you a new forearm if you show them that picture.

I never liked "plastic" stocks. I've never seen one that didn't have a crack in it somewhere. I like Walnut stocks much better.

Ouch, that stinks! What are you shooting in that gun? I finally found a combo I liked this year for my Son's. He is shooting a pure gold .570 and hevi 13 7's.

UPDATE: I spoke with Mossberg and they are going to replace the forearm , how ever they wanted me to send the broken stock back and wait on them to send the replacement. Then they want me to pay $40+ to have it send 2 days. I told the lady i was very unhappy with this because season was fast approaching and ask if I could email her pics. She agreed and has already put a order in for a replacement to be send , she said she couldn't promise it would make it. i already emailed the pics and begged a little more asking for a quick shipment
this will allow me to have to old forearm to make a temp fix and make due if need be

I had an Indian Creek .555 but I think it was to tight for that load.

Yep , I got it repaired for the time being and waiting on the replacement from Mossberg I used JB weld and its holding great
It cracked from the screw hole on 1 side to the screw hole on the other side, seems 1 screw came loose ( it threads into the plastic ) and caused it to crack into can't believe how thin that forearm is
