Anyone going out of state or hunting a different sub-spieces of turkey this year?
Here is my rat race starting April 10th: Going to MS for 3 easterns in 3 or 4 days.....3 bird limit per season, 1 bird per day. Hunting public land, and that is all I can reviele about that, TONS AND TONS of birds. Then home 1-2 days, then OK for 4 days for Rio's then home 2 days then down to Southern Indiana for my favorite the ol' Indiana bird that I have yet to get on the opener yet, usually by the Friday through!
Just incase your interested:
I have a great guy to hunt Merriams with for $750, which is a CHEAP 2 bird hunt, for a fun beautiful bird in NE! I'll hook you up with him just send me a PM and I'll give you his number!
I have another good place for Rios for $1200 all inclusive (room/board/3 home cooked meals) 2 birds in OK. Same thing, send me a PM and I'll send you the phone number!

I will be heading to Missouri for my second year in a row. Tagged 2 birds last year there, a Longbeard and a Jake. Numbers of birds are very impressive and nonresident tag is reasonable.

Don't really know yet.
Indiana and Kentucky for sure and then I am off the a week in early April, so I may call some buddies in Tennessee. Hope to make it back to Nebraska again this spring for some late season hunting too.

I may run to Missouri and possibly Kansas. But it's all contingent on how my rehab goes following Thursday's Rotator cuff surgery and other unforseen crop-ups

No , this past year hasn't been the best year for me financially speaking , and the new year isn't likely to change that unless that Powerball ticket that I haven't checked the result on yet changes things . Probably the best I can look forward to is getting more turkeys to come to my place for the foreseeable future .

As it turns out, work is keeping me from my annual Texas hog/javelina trip. So, I'm putting together a South Dakota Black Hills Merriams trip for May. Bummed about the Texas, but can't wait to chase those white tipped fans!

dec,
If you haven't got a spot out there yet, get ahold of Woodmaster on here.
His group got into a lot of birds out there a couple years back. Even some "white phase" birds.

Dec, I sent you a reply. I'm not sure if the picture I sent you will work so I'll post it here to. The bird on my right is a "smoke" phase hen. When we went there we could kill one gobbler and one hen. Nobody really cared to kill a hen till we saw the "smoke" phase birds. We saw 5 total.

Sent you a PM Woodmaster.
I found them on the internet. They have a 2 bird limit (either sex). As of 2001, you have to hire a guide to hunt tribal lands. They have a long list. Any suggestions?
