Yesterday in between the rain showers my friend and I patterned our guns for turkey season. I shot a Remington 11-87 using 3" #4 steel shot through a factory full chock steel tube. The pattern was almost as good as when I shot 3" lead #4's through a Undertaker lead turkey chock. Then I shot some Ducks Unlimited magazines with both set ups and found that the steel penetrated better however the lead flattened out and and did more damage. SUMMARY: If a person wanted to invest in a super full steel chock tube for their gun and shoot steel shot they in my opinion would get just about the same results as if they were to shoot lead through a lead turkey chock.
