Indiana will have it's first ever fall turkey season this fall in selected counties.
If your county has a fall gun and archery turkey season will you…...

I dont know...I can see me sitting in my stand with a grunt call and a box call...a bow and a gun.... That is real "multi-use".. Before someone on here thinks that is good idea I just wonder if gun and bow at the same time while turkey hunting would be legal ? It wouldn't be for bowhunting deer. We cant even carry our self protection handguns while bowhunting. "Legally" that is..

WW, Thanks for telling me about this site. As for the racing, we are getting there, we changed everything over the winter, motor, rear end, bars, shocks, ect. So early on it was like starting over. But you have to love it hammer down, dirt flying

If I see a bird in bow season he will go down! I may chase them with a gun too, we'll see...

If I see a bird in bow season he will go down! I may chase them with a gun too, we'll see... OK... Here is a question maybe we can get Greendeem to answer for us. In the springtime we can take gun and bow out with us since they are both legal hunting weapons. Since there will be four days of gun/bow in some counties can we do that in the Fall too? The fly in the ointment is it is also early archery for deer and we cant have a gun while deer hunting with a bow. So - can we have both a gun and a bow during those 4 days of fall turkey season if we are after turkeys during deer archerh season? It really doesn't matter to me as I'll be out there with my crossbow only, which is also legal for fall turkey by anyone.

ByIndiana law you can not have a gun and bow in any season and pursue deer. So if you are turkey hunting it may be legal, but if you are deer/turkey you are illegal.
Nice "prop" for the crossbow though...........
I'd rename the site "Indiana Crossbow Hunting"

Bow only. If things go like they have in the past I will have a big flock of hens roosting in my woods the entire fall. Should be just a matter of time before one walks in front of my broadhead!

That is probably the way I'll hunt them too. Of course all those turkeys that used to like to roost in my little set of pines will probably find someplace else once the become huntable. I have way too may hens in my area....

Got this back from John Deem Woody, My F/Sgt. and myself both agreed that you would not be able to take two weapons in the fall, but I went ahead and emailed F&W to get an answer from them. I'll call down there today to speed things up. JohnAs soon as John gets back with me with an answer from F & W I'll post it up.

There is no season in the fall for turkeys in Ontario. If there was I'd only take one if I was bowhunting deer as whitetails are my #1.

I concentrate on deer too hard at that time of year to go after a turkey exclusively. IF I kill early (highly unlikely) I'll go after Mr. Gobbler with my crossbow.
