I went out this evening to a new stand i put up a few weeks ago. The farmer was shelling the corn west of me,and the farmer to the south was also shelling corn. I am posistioned in a fence row that comes out of an abandoned railroad bed. About 4:30 two does came out of the corn to my west and the biggest buck i have ever seen was right in their tracks. And of course the does went away from me so there goes granddaddy with them. About 5:30 i notice another decent sized buck walking the fence row to my east about 400yds. I hit my bleet can a few times and he headed my way for about 100yds and then he went into the railroad bed. This gave me ample opportunity to hit the rattling antlers a few times and a few grunts. 10 minutes later he appeared about 40yds from me and started to work a scrape along the railroad. He then came to about 20yds broadside a stopped him with a grunt sound and Put the SMACK DOWN on him. I wasnt sure i hit him because i could see my arrow stuck in the ground. My arrow was covered in blood a complete pass thru. I gathered up the tracking crew and gave him about two hours. TOTAL TRACKING DISTANCE 30yds

Great story..
CONGRATULATIONS!!
There is something special about "working a buck" in and then getting him.
You earned him..

Thats a BIG bodied deer! Did you get him on the scales? Corn fed... ? From your pics, it sure don't look like you got any overnight shrinkage. Nice deer, your gonna love those huge back-straps!
