I bought a new Stoeger M2000 last year to use as my turkey gun. I manually cycled the action a few hundred times (as was recommended online) and then put a few boxes of shells throught it. Everything worked great. I cleaned the gun and it sat for the next 6+ months. Then, recently, my nephew borrowed it for a little late waterfowl. He called yesterday and said he went to shoot a few clays and the whole trigger assembly fell out as he was loading it and before he got a shot off! He cant find one of the pins which appears to hold the assembly in the receiver. I called Stoeger and they say they will correct this at no charge. But hey, this is a "new" gun. Kinda makes me wish I had gone with an ole 870 instead and saved some money. Any thoughts and/or recommendations appreciated.

I own one and have used it to take several doves with no probems, may just be a lemon.

Stoeger says they'll make it right including a check on a possible misfire problem and I'm sure they will. Some years back I sent them an over/under that had a misfire issue and they were true to their word. I guess I'll just have to be patient...
