I witnessed a buck dogging a doe Sat. that would not leave her side the whole day. He was definitely ready and based on her actions I have to assume she was coming into an early estrous.

I watched a pretty good buck dogging a doe on Saturday. He was grunting every step. I grunted at him and hit a bleet can. He came up out of the creek bottom he was in and came toward me. When he got to about 45 yards he went into some thick sapplings and just started thrashing them. He wouldn't come any closer. He then turned and went back after the doe. All the does around where I was hunting this weekend were pretty skiddish and running, as if they were being harrassed pretty much non-stop by bucks. I wish I could be out there all week this week, but I probably won't get to go again until the weekend.

Friday morning i seen a nice 8 point lightly following a doe. The doe came in and messed around in my mock scrape, the Buck stayed up on the ridge and shredded up a tree. When the doe left, the Bucks just casually followed up behind her. Nothing intense there.
Saturday evening about dark i saw 2 does bust out into a grass field, about a minute later here came a 4 pointer chasing hard and grunting.
Its deffinitely starting to get going.
