...this photo of the black squirrel was taken at Mounds State Park, there are several in the park, from my experience with hunting grey squirrels ,this guy is in the same family, very nervous critter, i was lucky just to get a photo of this guy,sometimes just being out there you get lucky!!!!!.............turkey scout

Not to sure about it but a fellow I have known forever told me he and some other folks brought some blacks back from Michigan many years ago and got them started in the Alexandria area.
