Looking at some of these pics has made me really interested in trying some of my own. Can some of you guys maybe give some info on what camera I should start with? Keep in mind I just dropped a grand in an AR so something as affordable as I can get by with. I take it these are digital or are they 35mm?

If you can't afford an SLR, the best digital cam I've found, Try The Kodak Z1012 IS, it's HD, Has great zoom, 12 MP's....you can get one for around $200

It's a black squirrel. I think they are a little more common in areas of Michigan but I know of a colony of them just a couple miles away from me that I used to watch while on the schoolbus many, many, many moons ago. Was just talking to a guy that I know that lives in the area and he says they are still around.
Had a fairly dark one come in to a pile of corn off my birdfeeder the other day but it looked more like a gray from the side...

When I was younger, the only place around here that had them was Bluffton, IN, about 20 miles SW of Decatur. Now I see them in about all of the woods I hunt in around Decatur.

I had a few in my yard when I lived in down town Anderson, I know there were a few in Alexandria as well. I've seen them a few other places as well just never while hunting!
