Ok not sure where this goes, Varmint thread or here but heres my question. I recently bought my DPMS stainless that I plan on using mainly for coyotes. Alot of my shooting will be in low light so I have been looking at not only scopes with large objectives but also possibly an infrared type scope or one with lighted crosshairs. The big problem I have seen with the infrared models is you are limited to low or no light conditions which is not an option. I am leaning towards a Nikon pro staff 3x9x50 but would also like a lighted crosshair. I need some experienced advise with an AR set up to tell me what would be the best option.

wow...if you want a lighted crosshair there are many manufacturers that make quality scopes...far too many to list.
I like my ACOG best - low magnification makes it quite useful out to 150 yards (farther if your eyes are younger than mine) and with the optional lighted reticle it is better for work at night than a variable scope with a higher magnification ability. And you can get a separate magnifier if you wish to get a higher magnification on the ACOG and they are both easily mounted on the picatinny rail of a flattop AR....after all that's what they were designed for.
And don't forget that if you want to spend the cash as I did...you can even get QD ring mounts and swap between scopes on your AR!!! Look at the lever-lock style of QD scope mount. They ain't cheap but they do work well!!!

where would I look for those at, I like the sound of being able to switch scopes between hi magnification and night vision
