I have found a bunch of geese, but the Wabash has ice sheets flowing down it, and the geese are on the sandbars that you can not get to from any road. Just wandering if anyone has put a boat in and went down river with ice flows in pretty much the whole river, there is open areas of water and it is all flowing.

Sounds dangerous to me! Hypothermia takes seconds to set in, and even if you get out of the water, you got to get back to the truck. Not worth the risk if you ask me.

I've canoed in that type of water. It was a piece of cake but the river was not even close to the size of the wabash. I would be concerned with a motor and those ice sheets.
I saw a small group on the West fork White this morning but not much on the river up here. Good luck.

I went out on sat the 16th, lots of ice sheets. When i went to leave there was and ice sheet across the entire river about 2 inches thick so i just ran my boat on top and about 2 seconds later it broke in half and i was on my way.
