I've used an old Sony digital camera for years. It has served me well - especially on my guided upland hunts - it has taken a fair amount of abuse. However, it has given me fits lately due to the cold and snowy weather. It seems anything at or under 20 degrees and I have problems. What camera do you all suggest and is it possible to stay at or under the $150-200 mark? Also, has anyone had experience with the Go Pro cameras? I also do some extreme dual sport/ long distance motorcycle rides. This camera is reported to be great for video and still shots. Any feedback?

....i like canon or nikon in point and shoot, we all have problems in cold weather with cameras, its' best to use rechargable batteries with a high mAh 2500 and keep them charged up and keep them warm in pocket with hand warmers....in pro digital slr, i also like canon or nikon, go to "Roberts " camera store and check them out.....you opened a big can of worms NOW!!!!!!....on (video )digital slr and still shots, look at the new Canon 7D....................good luck..............turkey scout

How old are your batteries for that cam? Seems I have had simillar problems with older batteries, you may need to replace them.

Good points tscout and HMeister. I should have mentioned that I tried 2 other sets (2 AA's) of batteries during one of my recent hunts as I figured my batteries might be low. One set was the Energizer rechargeable 2500mAh and the second set was a cheap CVS brand I happened to have had in the van. The CVS brand actually worked for me for a few shots and the Energizers would not although both showed full battery on the camera monitor. When I got home, all batteries checked full on the multi-tester. Thanks for the input.
