Today was my first chance to get out by myself since gun season started. My 10 year old son wasn't feeling great so my wife told him he was sleeping in this morning. I really needed to get me Dad some meat since he couldn't hunt this year. About 8:30 4 or 5 does come in and I take one that runs right to me and falls about 15 yards from my tree. I hear them walking still so I reload and get another in my scope and wasn't sure on the second but thought I saw her flooping on the ground. I call my Dad and tell him I have got him at least one deer. I start climbing down the tree with my climber about 10-15 minutes later and I hear walking again. I think this was a young deer and my gun was on the ground. I started thinking what if I only have one down so I pull my gun back up and get it loaded. At this point I am pretty much on the ground. I find the deer in the scope, shoot, and it runs. I missed the 3rd one. Might have hit something, not sure but looked for quite awhile and it appeared to be a clean miss. I ended up with a half deer and gave my Dad a deer and a half. Not a bad morning. ![](http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e240/anthonyfamily/Hunting015.jpg)

Good job, that's a big ol doe! Too bad your boy wasn't there, he could have helped drag those deer out!

Congrads! I'm a little green to Indianas laws but where I come from you cannot shoot 2 does in a single day.
