There was a good article in the Evansville paper on taxidermy. Quite a switch as the paper did not post pictures of dead trophy animals for years. Not sure where the article is at online but here are some photos form it. American taxidermy in Boonville, Indiana Dean Stallion looks over the finishing touches of a full-size Impala that he mounted at his business, American Taxidermy. Once the animal is mounted, Stallion goes back in with color and molds and sculpts any areas of skin that do not have fur because those areas lose all color after the animal is dead. Dean Stallion works on skinning a mallard duck to get it ready to be mounted in his shop, American Taxidermy. Dean is a supporter of our contests with a couple/three generous donations a year....

That name sounds familiar. Did he have a buck in one of the old Trophy Bucks of Indiana books?
