i want to start hunting geese. do u really need to spend alot on decoys i have budget of 100 buck have waders and gun thats 2-3/4 shells 12 gauge

buy some steel "bb" shells, silo decoys are cheap, big river flute style goose call (think that is the name), find the spot they want to be

Nope, no reason to spend a fortune on gear until you know you really want to. shells are cheap and work just fine, silo are also good but can be sort of expensive.
Like freedomhunter said, find where they want to be and your decoys are not nearly as important. Learn to hide well.

Just after Christmas every mothers son store will have them on sale. Check out Craigs list in several different areas, might be worth a short drive to find a good deal. Stick with bb & bbb for geese. I have used everything from 2's to T shot, but do like 3"better

northern i have plenty of swamps and could shoot geese from my front porch they fly so low and noone within 2-3 miles hunt them so they will fly 200 feet in front of you as for ducks i have only seen pairs during the summer
