My vote is for the I40 as well. Batteries do last a long time. Not real good trigger speed. Best if used on a pile of food.

I've got the hco scoutguard, and love it! batteries last long time, very small compared to others [around the size of a pop can] and is infrared so unless you are looking at it I dont think you would see it light up [not a flash] I also ordered the locking box that it goes in and python cable lock goes threw it & around tree so it seems pretty secure. You set it with a plug in ipod looking remote that you take back home with you. The cam has been in the woods since I got it a year ago.

My answer would be bias if I gave one ,being I've only owned Moultrie Products.
But, let me tell you, about what I have incountered. I started out with Moultrie 4.0 with a flash. They took good clear pics, but you can see the flash from a mile away.(Biggest problem with that is THIEVES. So I bought the newer I 40 infared cams. They also take good pics. Just dont point facing the sun. Well anyway,I think this is the second year for the I40's,and one of the LED displays went dead. I hated to throw it away, but you couldnt tell which function you were on. I knew it wasn't under warranty anymore, but figured I would call them and see if they would sell me the board so I could try to fix it myself. BUT, they told me to send it in and they would fix it for free. You believe that? Free. So after that experience ,they are definantly a good company with a good product in my books. Good thing it was broke or the THIEVES would have gotten this one too. A+
