Looking for someone to do a Euro mount for me in the Lafayette area. Any suggestions? I have a card from a guy out in Brookston. Has anyone here used him?

You can make your own euro mount with a little work. I have made 3 in the last couple years . I know the way I do it works and its cheaper then going thru a taxidermist plus you can look at it knowing you made it. Know what I do is completely skin out the head and get as much meat off and try to dig out the eyes the best I can . At this point it looks a complete mess . If your wife is anything like mine you aren't gonna bring the head in the house quite yet haha. Now what I do from here is get an old pot fill it with water and put it on the bbq and start boiling. You will do this several times over about three days changing the water scrapping away more junk each time it should take you about. 3 days to do this. After you get it clean what I do is paint on bleach a few times and let it dry. Now your mount when is finished it won't be bright white but it will have a natural look to it. I live in Lexington In and if I can help you at all just let me know! Good luck !
