The GUMZ refuge is completed, flooded and was holding approx.300 geese didn't see any ducks. They are still picking the GUMZ unit blinds, the ditches are pumped down and if things go right they could be done this weekend. The front refuge at 8 & 39 is still bone dry.Several clubs are picked and flooded however I never saw a duck anywhere.

i looked at the dnr website for the bird count and they say that there is 1400 mallards there
