Anyone hunt the wilderness area south of Monroe Lake?
I hunt the Terrill Ridge area east of the cemetary and down through Jones Branch Creek. Off the ridge is some pretty rugged country.

Nope but meaning to give that area a try. My understanding is that no wheels in the area so no deer carts?

You got it, no wheeled anything. You can get around on the marked trails on horseback but not anywhere else. Makes for some tuff hunting but you sure can get away from the weekenders.
Hikers travel the trails but don't go off into the timber. That's why I like it.

I have hunted it before but not this season. Drove through in late September but haven't made it back.

I hunted it a bunch back in the mid 70's. The Terrill Ridge road was almost an all weather road back then. There were very few people in that area back then. Then it became a wilderness area and it started getting crowded. Don't overlook the swamp areas near Browning bridge.

I have only started hunting the wilderness area this season. Could you tell me a bit more about where Browning Bridge is located?
Been on out past the cemetary to the north and east on numerous occasions since the beginning of September and have not seen anyone scouting or hunting this area.
