Just my 2 cents..., fox are still predators and will eat what they can, turkey poults, rabbit, squirrel, quail, etc.., There are more fox around than people relize. They are just more secretive because of the yotes. Not trying to stir any pot just saying. I respect your decsion just wanted to remind people that they are no different than a coyote other than in size.

It would be a bit of a fight but I am sure it would especially if it is a small cat. Fox are opportunist also..., they will eat what they can when they can.

No reason to feel guilty about killing a fox. Likewise no reason to kill one because you think they might kill your cat. Your cat is as much of a predator of wild stuff as the fox...if it is a free roamer.

My favorite fox bait is cat meat, so they definately like cat! Also, not much turns on a fox set than catching a cat in the set. Foxes love that smell! I also agree with matahone, there are a lot more fox around then people think! Due to yotes, reds have become more like greys in that they prefer to be in, or very close to cover. Not like the old days when they could roam around in the open, where it's easier for us to see them, now they have to keep it on the down low.

I see tracks everywhere..fox won;t thrive where there are too many coyote..coyote will hunt them down and kill them...coyote hate fox.

I live in Sheridan and we see fox on a regular basis trotting down the roads late at night and in peoples yards. I used to see some greys when I was younger but it has been years since I have even heard about a grey fox, they still around?
