I'm looking to buy some land in Indiana, but am not to familiar with the counties. In your opinion what are some of the best counties to harvest trophy deer?

I'd say south and south east. But land prices are high. I was fortunate to get my 80 acres for 800. 00 a acre 20 years ago. It's gone up more and more as they quit making land a while ago.

I called an ad the other day in Clark County (Borden) guy has 26 acres mainly wooded but has a crop field with road frontage, figured I would just see what the asking price was, I COULD NOT believe the price he quoted me !!!! $670,000 dollars ! Yeah I said it right 6 hundred and 70 thousand bucks for a 26 acre lot !!!!!!! Thats like over 30 grand an acre ! What is the world coming to ? Guess I will continue to stick with the public hunting areas if land costs are that ridiculous !

Johnson does too, I know of a 194" buck killed in Johnson last year! It was on the army base but still...everyone remember the infamous Morgantown Buck! (I can't remember is that Johnson or Morgan?)

Northeast consistently produces the biggest deer of the year in the Hoosier state.
