Made it out back again after work. Shot a gray first thing out, missed a few chances, ran back to the house when I heard sirens going down the road to make sure everyone was OK. Walked back out found another but never got a shot. About that time my phone rings and it's my buddy talking to me about his reloader all the while I was walking down the trail just enjoying the evening, then my wife rang threw. She was taking the kids up to her Mom's who is having a rough few months supporting her husband who is on his death bed so we were talking about "things". I was a bit more into the conversation then the woods when I heard a sharp noise is the only way I could describe it. I look and about 8' infront of me was the first copper head I have ever seen in the wild. I've seen plenty in fish tanks at state parks but never one in the wild. He was VERY agressive and I gave him plenty of chance to slide away. I like snakes and not really worried about them but my wife was freaking out. I took another step closer to see if it would go into the woods. Nope it decided to strike at me again. That's when it got a few rounds of the .22 cal. It was just under 3' and one mean muther.
The rest of my night consisted of lousy shooting. I thinkit was due to the shakes and watching where I steped a bit more carefully
Called my bud back cause I had to tell someone!!!! Of course the only camera we have is with my wife who is out of town, so you all will have to trust me ;D
