I have had one out since the first of May and I am going through a 20 pounder every 3 weeks. I average about 1500 pictures a week off of it and around 700-900 off the lucky buck site 10 feet away.

You do know that you cannot hunt by that? If you are hunting close to that I hope that it does not soak into the stump or you will have to cut the stump out.

...cut the stump out..lol..yeah like anyone is gonna do that...remove the bait is all he has to do..the stump is not the bait...If a Game Warden is gonna start sampling stumps for risidual mineral from a trophy rock being there throughout the summer they're gonna be very busy guys....and frim what I've seen you can barely get them to come out on a legitimate complaint like trespassing...it's like pulling teeth..

I put minerals out every year for my deer. It helps in a wide range of development. It has been my experience with mineral licks the usage drops off around September and by the time the season comes in it gets hit very little or not at all. I always place the mineral site in an area that we do not hunt. We call it the "Sanctuary". So, no we do not hunt over it or near it. You can get off your soap box....

Same here ff1126..Deer quit using them by mid to late September. I too put minerals out for me camera sites to inventory deer on properties I hunt..As long as you remove the bait 10 days prior to season you're good..."Remove the stump"....lol..that's crazy..
