How long do you normally stay on stand?
I do not hunt from a stand
Less than one hour
1-2 hours
2-3 hours
3-4 hours
5-6 hours
7-8 hours
Sun-up to sun-down
Heck, I sleep in my stand

I am good for about 4 hours and then I get SORE! Me too. Of course it depends on the deer activity. If I'm seeing deer quiet frequently I don't get quite as "sore" and can stick it out longer....

What time of the year ?
Most of October I'd fall in the 2 -3 hour class Starting this weekend I'll spend more and more time. The last week of early archery I'll spend as many daylight hours as I can in my stand. I didn't vote !

I like to be in my morning stand an hour before sun-up and stay for 5-6 hours. For afternoon hunts I like to be in my stand 3-4 hours before sun-down.

if i"m not seeing any deer, i feel like i need to scout for a better spot, if i look at my watch i"m climbing down in five minutes, i hate that watch.this is morning hunts.i need to leave my watch in the truck and guess, by looking at the sun.

My hunting watch is MISSING...but I have a 12 y/o boy, so I can just assume that **I** didn't misplace it!
Anyways, I have been "watchless" so far this year and have managed to guess it pretty good. 10:30ish is about my normal comming out time during early archery.
11:30 during the firearms portion!

My hunting watch is somewhere on the bottom of the Barren River Lake in Kentucky after doing some tubing this summer. I try to stay on stand as much as possible during the pre-rut and rut.early seaon just a few hours in the morning and evening.

Early in the season I generally average about 3-4 hours , then if I don't see any deer I'll still hunt for a few hours or go home and come back later for a few hours in the afternon . Later in the year I'll stay out longer , especially Late Archery .
