My son and I left for Brown County Thursday afternoon, we got to the club and set up the camper and hunted the last two hours of daylight. I didn't see anything but my son seen a real nice buck but couldnt get a shot.
We got up Friday morning, and boy it was cold. Bow hunted till about 11:00 am I still didn't see anything but my son seen several deer. After the morning hunt we made the hour drive to our spot in Lawrence County to set our stands for Saturday. Got back to Brown County in time to hunt the afternoon but I passed on the hunt but my son went in, he didn't see anything.
Left the club at about 4:00am on Saturday Morning to head to Lawrence County, we got in and had about a half hour before shooting time. Wasnt long after the sun came up and my son starts blazing away, he shoots at several deer. After a while he got down to look for blood, I'm about 600 yards away and hadnt seen a thing. He finds blood but I'm still wanting to stick it out a little longer. About 10:15am I finally see my first and only deer. I look over my left shoulder and see this white headed deer comming my way. I think, man thats an old buck. I pull my gun up and look through my scope......no antlers and almost a solid white head. By the time I figure out it's a doe, she is 10 yards from my stand.....BOOM!.....right in the heart.
I've never seen a deer that was so white headed, I don't know if she is just old or what.
Anyway, Sunday Morning my son killed a button buck at our conservation club. This is his first by himself deer, the two others he has killed I was sitting with him. This one he did all by himself, including field dressing.....he (and I) was pretty excited!
We hunted from Thursday afternoon till Sunday Morning.......I'M WORE OUT!!!!!!
