I don't duck hunt and ive eaten very few ducks in my life and was wondering what is the best eating duck, or do they all taste the same? Are geese better eating than duck? h.h.

Typically puddler ducks are better then the divers. Spoonies get the rep for worst pudler. Wood ducks are tough to beat and big old fat mallards are pretty good too. Alot of guys like teal but there just isn't much meat on them thar fast buggers.
Geese are different then ducks no doubt. I wouldn't say better or worse.
Didn't Pigeon Flier say he is really fond of woodies too... ;D

I would say tie between Wood Duck, Mallard, and Teal are even ground with me, depending on what they've been eating.
If you treat goose like a sirloin steak, you can't go wrong. Fajitas is my favorite with geese, but a nice dry rub on the grill is just as good too.

Woodies and teal are best puddle duck IMO. Overall, best eating is the canvasback.

If you get with the right group of guys it's hard to go back and be serious about your deer hunting!!!! As a matter of fact, I haven't found too many waterfowlers that I wouldn't hunt with. There are a few though!

Loon tastes a lot like spotted owl, and if prepared correctly with some bald eagle gravy it is scrumptious!!!!
